I am a developmental cognitive neuroscientist studying how the early environment shapes brain development and mental well-being.
I seek to understand how the brain develops across infancy, childhood, and adolescence; how interactions with family and peers shape individual differences in these developmental trajectories; and how these differerences relate to psychological well-being and mental health.
To address these questions, I combine fMRI and behavioral measures, with expertise in naturalistic movie-watching paradigms, inter-subject correlation and representational similarity analyses, and functional connectivity.
My PhD research investigated the neural correlates of intergenerational transmission, with a particular focus on similarities in neural activity within families.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development, University of Zurich, where I work at the NMR Kids Lab under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nora Raschle, who also supervised my PhD. I am an allumna of the International Max Planck Research School on the Life Course. During my PhD, I was a visiting researcher at Prof. Dr. Dylan Gee's Clinical Affective Neuroscience & Development Lab at Yale University. Prior to the PhD, I completed an MSc in Behavioural Science at Radboud University, where I worked at the Developmental Psychobiology Lab with Prof. Dr. Carolina de Weerth.
